I specialize in working with trauma and grieving, racial and sexual identity, immigration and assimilation, artists and creativity, spirituality and the search for meaning. In my understanding, what causes healing and transformation is the strength, depth, and authenticity of the therapeutic relationship. My style is warm, dynamic, and present; energizing, mindful, and attuned.
I completed a 3 year training in psychodynamic, relational and feminist psychotherapy at the Women's Therapy Center in Berkeley. My passion for mindfulness/insight meditation also informs my work with clients.
A Jamaican-American woman, I am very curious about and listen for how culture, religion, place and privilege shape your experience. Having worked with clients from a diverse array of ethnic and spiritual backgrounds, sexual orientations, and interpersonal relationships, I welcome you as you are.
